FAQs

What is the Immediate Roadside Sanctions program?

The Immediate Roadside Suspension is a program instated by the Alberta Government where you can face an immediate driver’s licence suspension, vehicle seizures, fines and more if law enforcement has grounds to believe that you are operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level between 0.05 and 0.079.

Do I have to pay for the IRS notice evaluation?

The evaluation of your ticket to determine if it is possible to make an appeal is completely free. Even if we find that we are unable to fight your ticket, you do not pay anything.

How does the process work?

All you have to do is upload a photo of your ticket and your contact information, and our team will review your ticket. We will contact you within 1-2 hours to let you know if you can successfully make an appeal or if you may be facing a driving suspension.

If we believe we can fight your ticket, our team of defence lawyers will begin the process of helping you keep your licence.

How long will my suspension be after receiving an IRS notice?

If you receive an IRS FAIL, you could be facing an immediate driving suspension of up to 15 months. If you want to avoid losing your ability to drive, contact Drive Defence as soon as possible.
